Flat Plan for Front Cover

Flat plan front cover from Hannah Ould

Rationale

My front cover of the college magazine will have the dominant image framed by surrounding sub images and sell lines. The masthead will be at the top of the page with a top banner above it and the main sell line will be in front of the dominant image. Underneath the main sell line, in the bottom right hand corner will be the essential information such as the barcode, date and issue number. Opposite this in the bottom left hand corner will be a puff/plug. Underneath the masthead on the left hand side will be the price of the magazine. The price will be fairly cheap as the target audience for the magazine is college students. The camera angle on the dominant image will be a mix between a medium shot and a crane shot so that it will be slightly above eye level. The colour scheme of the magazine cover will be a light blue and white to match the college logo. The font throughout the front cover will be a regal/old-fashioned style typography to match the feel of the college building. Due to the fact that there will be no people on the front cover it does not require there to be any costume, hair or makeup.
